Inktober 2012 – Day 1

Every year I wait for and watch the annual event Inktober created by one of my favorite illustrators Jake Parker. This event is “a month long appreciation of the art of drawing in ink and the practitioners that embrace that art“. In other words, artists around the world draw something in ink every day in October.

This year I decided to stop simply watching the fun and to participate myself. I love an excuse to create and the challenge to flex my style and learn new techniques. I am going for the full marathon of an ink drawing every day and will post them here on this blog. I can’t wait to get started.
