Inktober 2014 – Day 23

I tasked myself with drawing a helmet for this drawing. I’m not sure why some drawings go the direction that they do, but this one must have come out of my subconscious somewhere because I’m not exactly sure what is going on here. It was fun using a small nib pen to get some broad texture in place and then switching gears with a more fluid brush pen – very different tools working together to create a unified piece. Very poetic.
