We went and saw the new movie The Martian with Matt Damon and ironically found this screenshot from later in the movie when looking for ideas to draw. I just wanted to draw the cool space suit and martian rover, but after drawing this I saw it as a cool metaphor. This scene is around a great moment where hope has entered the picture, but at a time where isolation and abandonment have become the norm. Sometimes it takes breaking free from the norm however comfortable it has become to allow that hope to drive you to a joyful outcome. Too deep? Eh, happens sometimes. Go see the movie. I thought it was pretty good.
